SCOTT MACKAY was with the Menace from the formation of the team until the summer of 2004.  He came originally from Boston and had a real passion for ice hockey.  He coached the girls 12U team in Mandan, played hockey at least 3 times a week and was a season ticket holder for the Bismarck Bobcats.  He began playing with the MRAHL as a goalie, since that was his background.  However, he soon discovered that he loved playing forward and so he got himself outfitted for that.  Because of his enthusiasm for the game he was asked to be a part of the Mandan Menace.  During his time with the Menace, he was the leading goal scorer.

TONE-LISE STENSLIE was a part of the original Menace roster.  She scored a goal in the first Menace game against the Rushmore Road Kill in January of 2004 and traveled to Rapid City for the End of the Road Tournament in March of that same year.  Altogether, Tone-Lise played 15 games for the Menace in 2004 and 8 games in the early part of 2005.  She skated on a line with her husband, Peder, and Rick McConnachie.  Other commitments and a preference for less competitive hockey led her to retire after the 2004-2005 season.  She still skates with a women's group in Mandan.

RICHARD MOWER joined the MRAHL in January of 2004.  As adjustments were being made to the Menace roster in the first month of the club's existance, it became apparent that newcomer Richard Mower was just what we needed.  His first games for the Menace were in Rapid City, SD during the End-of-the-Road Tournament in March of 2004.  Richard played defense of the Menace and normally partnered with Jim Aduddell.  Forwards loved to find Richard unguarded at the blueline.  He had a rocket of a shot from the point that was dreaded by goalies in the MRAHL.  He was always willing to travel with the Menace and took many road trips with the team.  In the spring of 2007, Richard was part of a three-way trade that sent him to the Central Dakota Chiefs where he still plays today.

JON VAN BERKOM was an original member of the Menace.  In fact, it was Jon who came up with the name for the team.  He had begun skating in the MRAHL only a few months prior.  With his experience playing organized youth hockey many years earlier, he was destined to become a standout on the Menace squad.  The first two years of the "C" league, when the Menace finished with winning records, Jon skated on a very effective line with Jeff Monson and Dave Sardelli.  This line was feared throughout the MRAHL.  Jon travelled with the Menace whenever he was able, making trips with the team to Rapid City, Bottineau and Grand Forks.  In 2008, Jon was offered a teaching position at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.  After skating 4 seasons with the Menace and making many memories in the MRAHL, Jon will certainly be missed.

JEFF MONSON played with the Menace since the beginning of the league in 2004. During most of that time he played right wing on a line with Jon Van Berkom and Dave Sardelli. Jeff had one memorable streak in the 2006-2007 season when he scored 8 goals in 3 games. He scored 2 goals in a 12-1 victory over the Wildcats, a hat-trick in a 10-6 loss to Longhorn and another hat-trick in a 9-6 victory over big Muddy Music. In the 2007-2008 season, Jeff moved back and forth between right wing and defense, doing an able job at both.  At the conclusion of the '08-'09 season Jeff announced his desire to retire from the league.  After 5 years with the Menace, the loss of number 7 will be keenly felt.

PAT FAUL played with the Menace for 5 seasons.  He was an original member of the club.  He operates a cattle farm near McClusky and so he drove about 70 miles to make it to each Menace game.  That's quite a commitment!  Pat had a knack for being at the right place at the right time, and that frequently had happy results.  For example in October of 2007, Pat had two 2-point games.  In the season opener against the Chiefs, Pat scored an assist and a goal.  He repeated the feat a couple weeks later against Atlas.  Pat frequently accompanied the Menace on road trips to Minot, Rapid City, Bottineau, Rugby and Grand Forks.  Age and other commitments led Pat to the decision to retire after '08-'09 season.
